Well, I was struggling to choose what to talk about because I had borrowed important things from many people, but I've decided to talk about a time I borrowed money from my girlfriend.
I still remember very well that it was 5 years ago when I finally decided to quit my job and start my own business. You know, it was one of the most significant decisions I've ever made in my life and in fact, I had spent nearly a year considering that decision before taking the plunge. At that time, I was fed up with working for a state-owned organisation with a low salary.
After making the decision, I needed to attend some intensive seminars to become a highly qualified trainer and equip myself with the necessary knowledge and business skills. However, I was really on a tight budget and did struggle a lot to have enough money because the courses that I wanted to attend were costly. Right at the moment I was frustrated and considered giving up, my girlfriend told me that she would lend me all her savings. I have to tell you that I was extremely shocked because I had never thought of borrowing money from my girlfriend. At first, I refused her help, but later, she managed to convince me to accept it with all her care and thoughtfulness.
Thanks to the money from my girlfriend, I attended those seminars and learned useful knowledge and skills which I applied to build and develop my business. Fortunately, my company has gradually grown up and earned profits. Finally, I could return her the amount of money I borrowed last year. I also showed my gratitude and mentioned that without her money and her help, I couldn't have had the chance to fulfil my dream.
